I believe in my self and my ability to create and destroy. I am responsible enough to handle both.

I've been to war in Iraq, God's not there either.

I am. I value my family, respect intelligence and compassion, and worship nothing. I find that a lot of things can be very easily explained, by science, and I think that a lot of religious people are hypocrites who judge, condemn and threaten people every day. Seriously, if that is the way those who are emulating Jesus are, then I'm happy to be a nonbeliever.

And it isn't like when death is staring me in the face that I will suddenly "see the light". I have been close to death quite a few times. I have been in the Air Force. I have jumped out of planes. I have been shot at. I have been beaten and strangled half to death. I have been smashed up in a car accident and left disabled. Guess what? No God!

Tough call on Iraq, but the current war on terror is just another Holy War.

Lots of Americans still believe that Iraq was involved in 9/11 although Iraq had nothing whatsoever to do with 9/11 and the media rhetoric to justify the invasion in the first place was nothing more than a politically orchestrated litany of lies. That's religion for you.

President George W Bush has made it clear that he reads the Bible, prays to God, and that God told him to invade Iraq. Very recently he referred to the USA’s war against terror as a war against Islamic Fascists. The other side, the Islamic Fascists, of course refer to G W Bush and the USA as Christian Infidel Dogs and so the Holy War of Words goes on, like the Axis of Good (Christianity) at war against the Axis of Evil (Islam).

The above is quite mild to all the evil religious words being thrown by each side, but of course, it doesn’t stop there does it. The same sides, Christianity and Islam, are physically at war with each other, murdering innocent men, women and children in the process.

Humanity has a horrific track record of atrocities and killing caused by religion, and this war seems to be no different, just another Holy War in the name of religion, inflicting it’s madness once again onto humanity. Religion is so evil, it has even infected the President of the United States of America.

You sound very young. I hope you contemplate this more as you grow older and experience more of life.
Keep an open mind, explore different religions. Don't dismiss God just because of man made religion. Take what you need from several.
I look at God and religion as two different things. Someone recently said that you shouldn't belong to a certain religion if you don't strongly believe in everything they teach. I couldn't disagree more! It has to be a personal thing. Religion has evolved to suit man- not God.
Spirituality is a personal journey that every human being is on whether they like it or not! (or believe it or not!)
I hope God speaks to you throughout your life and you actually take the time to listen. Just be open and see what happens.
I believe with all of my heart.
Just think- if you're right, what do I have to lose by believing? But if I'm right- you have eternal life to lose!

Why is it necessary to be confrontational about your belief or disbelief. Why not cling to your idea and hope that you are right? What have you really created? Create life...as in having a baby...amoeba do it too. Destroy...well, influenza does that very well...where are you placing yourself in the biological realm? But many like to think that the human spirit has a bit more and being the only animal that creates future ideas, people think there might be more than a short one-way ticket. Whether you accept God, Buddha or whatever matters only to you. Why be confrontational about something that is your own destiny?

I'm agnostic, but I believe I have the capacity to create and destroy too. Everyone does, but not all have a good handle on the "responsible enough" part.

Atheism/agnosticism/secular/ nonreligious are the 3rd highest rank belief in the world. There are a lot of us out there.

I am a humanist, and believe that all people have a choice (and know the difference) between right and wrong. Christianity and other religions have much to offer it's followers. But at the same time, most of history's greatest leaders, innovaters and thinkers were Atheist or something similar.

Hello dear!
I am not a believer!
According to my knowledge and senses, there is no such "thing" as god! does this make me an atheist?
I think that we could not be identified as atheists, but the theists, who believe they have found some god to be called theists, believers, or non thinking standing people!

I am a LaVeyan Satanist. I hold Atheistic beliefs as truths. I view God and Satan as symbolism. And I believe in the motto "responsibility to the responsible". I know my strengths and limitations and I use them accordingly.

Why don't you create a universe, a galaxy with a solar system of your own, which will have the nature's power of water, land, air, atmosphere and fire(heat)? And if you are able to control them, then there is nothing like that. You will be a true creator.
