If you're using Windows XP the webcam will appear in "My Computer" you can go through there and take still pictures as much as you want, However if you want a seperate software or for some reason you don't see your webcam in "My Computer" check this free software I found in http://www.topdownloads.org/software/view.php?id=84086
but I advise you of scanning it with an antivirus before use as a precausion.

I finally understand exactly what you are looking for ....

Here is what I used to do .....
Using a free program called MWSnap http://www.mirekw.com/winfreeware/mwsnap.html
I would set up the webcam, then set up MWSnap, then I could click on "repeat capture", as often as I wanted, once it was set to the area on screen where the webcam pic was.

Be sure to set the MWSnap program to save .. I think the default on install is not to ... its one of the buttons on the toolbar. To find where the captures are stored, they will bein the MWSnap file, you can find it through "My Computer".

Hope this helps.

You don't use a camera at all. Instead, you use some sort of capture device that goes in between the console and the TV, or you just use some sort of capture card on a PC and hook the console straight to that.
