why do people refer to illegals as hard workers?

most of yourfirst defences will be that "they are out picking vegies from 4am to sun down" and where does all that hard work go to,? themselves! they dont pay taxes with it, they dont buy their food with it, they dont pay their hospital bills with it, it all goes towards their own pleasure whether its beer, drugs, prostitution or some new rims. hard workers put their responsibilities first, i'm not talking about all illegals but the majority of them that are like this.

to some of you who dont understand.. i am talking about the ones that come here to be on welfare, hence the previous details.

I hate to tell you this, but that's actually NOT possible. To begin with, even Aliens need to eat, have a roof over their heads & need the neccesities of life- & ALL of these things take $$$, -money that's coming out of the low wage dirt jobs that fat white american kids- can't be botherd with. Nextly, everything those Aliens buy- is Sales Taxed. So they DO pay some taxes- and DON'T get any of the Social Security money back that gets docked from their wages. And finally, if there were no profit hungary employers who hired them to do the minimum wage jobs that regular americans can't be botherd with, - they wouldn't come here in the first place because they wouldn't find work, & couldn't afford our overpriced lifestyle. Are there bad aliens coming over here?-Of course! But the vast majority of them just want to make enough to sustain themselves here, have a few bucks to send home to their families in wherever, and maybe- just maybe- someday have the chance to take a shot at the American Dream... And I'm not just talking about the poor Irish that are coming over here illegally- either....... -So give it a rest. There's nothing more pathetic than a whiny American.

Usually the imposter is on level one but I noticed that they were on level 4 the other night, which indicates to me that there are obviously more people involved. I have an idea who they are but I am really tired of these morons harassing me and stalking me online. There are laws against that but they don't care about that. Typical criminal behavior. I give what I get. It's very simple. By the way, the people who are saying that the writing stuff is a sham, it may have been for some. Depends on where you go but obviously, they are just making a pathetic attempt to tear down what I have done and this doesn't belong in the immigration forum. I had a lot of good luck with my writing but a lot of things, like blogs, they stole off of my 360 page. Imagine how you would feel if someone were STALKING you this way....I am very tired of it and if it is viewed as "making fun" of them, I think that's far better than making up LIES about abortions and trying to humiliate one simply because they have a different view.

They live a hard life so yes they should be called a hard worker.

Like it or not we need them to come and work and they do pay some taxes. Take a drive through Indiana. We have a lot of open spaces to build more homes and factories. They are not taking our jobs it was the democratic party that did that during the Clinton years we lost alot more union jobs than we did during both Bush administrations. Much more jobs went to China than to Mexico.

The illegal worker is not as bad as the American born Bank robber or the American born Drug Dealer.

Oh, and by the way, she-lemming, let me fill you in on a little secret. When an "illegal" buys gas for his or her car, they pay tax. When the buy clothes at Wal Mart, they pay sales tax. The people who employ them pay tax on the revenue generated by the low paid laborers.

As for your argument about not paying hospital bill.... guess what dearheart, under YOUR ****** neo-con President Bush, over 41 MILLION US CITIZENS do not have ANY health insurance. Addition: Sure, give it a thumbs down... but i'll tell you what. There are a hell of alot more Americans that fraudulently recieve welfare and foodstamps then there are illegal aliens. The proof is simple: Welfare and Food Stamp programs are cross referenced to social security numbers. If you don't have a valid social security number, you are not going to recieve welfare. It is true some illegals use stolen SS numbers, but they are few and far between. There are many Americans who engage in welfare fraud as a way of life. At least the illegals are contributing to society.

Because they ARE hard workers. The real problem is the massive welfare state which warps them (and the rest of us). Nobody ever said it better than Ayn Rand in Atlas Shrugged - something to the effect that the evil of the welfare state is not that it appeals to the lowlifes, but that it turns decent people into lowlifes, that that's the only thing the welfare state can do, at that it's called a "moral" system!

I think you are being very tough. Mostly it is people who left their homeland, friends, family, because they had no opportunities where they came from. Most of them earn less than the minimun salary, it is impossible to even get sick with those wages. So they work hard, for long shifts and they know the value of a dollar and how much it can stretch. Most are trying to get some education for their children, so they don't have to go thru the same. I wish you could work one single day under the conditions they are, I am sure you would start appreciating that they are just as human as you are.

I don't know where you got your information from , but I live in a small town. There are a lot of Mexican people living in this town. I don't know if they are illegal or not( not condoning illegals) but the ones I know are very hardworking. So what if they pick veggies( at least it is a job), and a hard one at that.
Anyway, they work sometimes 2 jobs and their wives work also. They try to improve the jobs they have and buy a house and really take care of it.They seem to be very family oriented, I wish them all Luck. I hope they are here legally, as they could lose what they have worked for, if they are not!

Are you speaking specifically of farmworkers? Farmworkers pay rent on their housing, they have to buy their own food (which is taxed). On a good job of stoop labor, they can earn $250/week. That's for 12 to 14-hour days.

Legally the farm owner has to report the income; social security is withheld from the money. (Unless, of course, he's not reporting the income. But that's the fault of the owner, and a whole different topic.)

Most people working 14 hours in the sun aren't doing it for beer.They usually help support families back in their home country. Even if they were citizens they wouldn't be paying taxes anyway cause they don't make enough money to be in the minimum tax bracket, so there is no additional burden on the taxpayer. But now there will be because we are paying 2 billion to build a fence.
