I can't think of the last time this has happened to me because they let me through the first door and I have a head start on the 2nd door so I get to it first and open it..
BUT...
If it did happen I might try to think of something other than "Thank You"
"Great Habit's You Have"
"Hope A Dollar Tip Will Be Enough"
"Are You From NY"?
etc etc etc...

Once after each time they open the door for you is best, but saying it once after the final time is certainly appropriate.

Say thank you twice, they were nice to you twice so why be lazy when it comes to courtesy. I doesn't hurt anyone or take up our time.

They acted politely twice...say thank you twice...the second thank you doesn't have to be so strongly noticed....but surely acknowledged!

You can never be too polite. when someone beats me to the second door, I say "thanks again"!
How nice it is to meet up with someone like that! It inspires me to go out of my way to help others, too.
Now that I think about it, what is so bad about that?

when more than likely
the door gets such velocity
from the guy ahead of you
one needs to move fast not to get
knocked down!
