Visa and MasterCard charge 1.75-2.75% ($15.75-%24.75) depending on whether the card was presented for the purchase or if the card was phoned in and depending on their contract.

Amex and Discover are more negotiable but charge higher rates and again depend on the method of purchase, 2.5%-4% ($22.50-$36).

Although you didn't ask pay pal charges more than any of these usually 4-5%.
