XP,
If you want to use 'nonexistant'
the literal translation would be inexistente,
So, you could say
My perro es inexistente, pero igual causa problemas.
My dog is nonexistant, however, he still causes problems.

Is nonexistant= es inexistente

if u want to say:
I don't have a god/cat = No tengo perro/gato

I dont have a pet= no tengo mascota

mi perro/gato es no existe. or mi perro/gato no existe. The first one sounds better to me.
