My husband and I were filling our bathtub with water and these tiny wiggly worms are everywhere in the water. I started to get in and thought it was dirt and tried to fish out the "dirt" when I noticed the little round dot of dirt unrolled and started wiggling. We had no idea where they came from, so we emptied the tub and rinsed it out and refilled it, again dozens of these tiny things were there wiggling around. Please help. Are these worms in our water supply? I haven't seen any in the sink, or our drinking water, but I do take showers from the same water supply. SCREAM :(

What are drain worms? Can I catch them?

i suspect those are drain worms coming out of the overflow in the tub.

if you suspect they are in the drinking water, and you fill a bucket and find them, contact the local municipality.

if they are in your tub drain, bleach should do them in.

I don't know where they came from...
But you need to go get treated from a physician in case you were exposed to pinworm/hookworm.
You don't know if you have been drinking them or not.
I would have the city come out if you have city water and take a look at your lines.
Gross is right....

they might be leeches or some other type of worms. call pluming or something. it will take a few days to clean. it might be really surius. for now, purify the water you use and drink.
