People here are telling you to go online. Did you know that at the top of your srceen, to the right, there is a white rectangle with a Search button next to it? Type in the word "dementia" and click on the Search button. You will see many websites about it. Look at several until you feel more informed.

There is an awesome book I bought called the 36 hour day. Also Learning and Memory. Check your local library and ask the librarian-they will be happy to help. Also, if there is an Area Agency on Aging in your area, they can refer you, too.
