Ok, here's the revised version of my question ...

Being Gay to some is considered a sin. right? And to some it's not a sin at all. Ok, I'd like to know, for the gay person that does not consider being gay to be a sin, and still feel's a walk with God. Has that person ever spoke in tongues. And Bunbury, I know all about the Gifts of the Spirit thankyou. I'm wanting to find out from the Gay person if they have spoke in tongues.

For those that dont know what I mean when I say "spoke in tongues" I mean, a heavenly language that you speak between you and God. Some people believe it's still for this day, some do not.

I personally feel that Being Gay is a sin. And I dont feel that if a person is Gay that they could really be a Christian.

Just looking for an answer from a Gay that feels like he/she is a Christian.

While it is true that Christianity is based on the teachings of the Bible, not every Christian follows the book word for word. Secondly, any single persons interpretation of the Bible is their own belief (whether or not a bunch of other people believe the same thing). Why else do you think we have religiously related issues? The book doesn't explicitly state everything in existence in a clear cut, inarguable fashion so people apply an inpterpretation depending on what is acceptable during the period in time, what they believe in, and how it fits into what they're trying to prove to themselves and others.
Let me give you a random, though trivial, example of how easily the Bible can be interpreted in different ways. When it speaks of "stoning" people, does it mean to physically throw stones? throw stone like objects? throw stones of a certain size or material? figuratively throw stones such as glances? or insults? or malicious intent without physical harm? all seem to work fine.

Now if it says that marriage is between a man and a woman does it mean a being with a penis to a being with a vagina? someone who perceives themselves as a man to someone who perceives themselves as a woman? what about people of both sexes? or changes in sex? what about a man and their dog that they named "woman"?

Being Gay is a sin to those who interpret the Bible in that way and beleive it is a sin. If you believe you are Christian and follow a general Christian way of life, then by all means label yourself Christian. Nobody has the right to say you are less of a Christian just because you don't follow the damn book word for word. If that were the case, The whole Christian society would have to kick out so many people.

and as for raykay469, for someone who thinks highly of himself to have such solid scientific foundations, how can you sit there and claim to not see any inconsistencies between science and the Bible. The creationist vs evolutionist theory is probably the biggest inconsistency between the Bible and science... or do you not believe in that area of Science? if not, you're obviously picking and choosing what to believe in to suit your own agenda and not following science word for word. But of course you can still legitimately call yourself a scientist. Sound familiar?

and just a personal comment: nobody cares about your mensa score... so what, you're good at problem solving and noticing patterns... does that somehow make you better than other people?... of course you'd think so... and you have the right to... go ahead and tell yourself that as you fondle your precious test scores before you go to bed at night... but when it comes down to it, nobody cares except for you... and when you die of old age... people still won't care... someone else may have a dandy old time talking to you about some "intelligent people only" crap... but that still doesn't make you a better person... maybe next time you'll leave your snobby attitude at the door and answer the question without being so arrogant... and if not, then whatever.. it's not like I'm gonna lose sleep over it....

Okay now it is not so funny. A gay person that "feels" like they are a Christian?

Let him who hath not sinned cast the first stone.

That is for you that think gay=sin. Now, gay is something you are born as not something you choose. I know you some of you Christians don't like science but some day you are going to have to grow up and think for yourselves or we are going to have a civil war and force you to. The Bible is keeping you guys in the stone age as far as morality and common sense is concerned and it is what is killing your religion..........seriously, I am not attacking you I am trying to explain why you people are making it soooo much harder than it needs to be.

Science finds a fact, rational people accept it and the irrational ones quote bible versus. If you would come on up here in the real world we could communicate in the same language instead of us needing to speak to you like you are "special" we could get a lot more done.

Summary: Science has evidence (not bible versus but studies that can be recreated and get the same result) that being gay is not a choice so how could it be a sin?

EDIT: @ the person posting just below me. We have proven the bible wrong in many areas. When you get new information it is at that time that you change irrational beliefs.

The bible is a great book but don't substitute what people believed in a time when they had no way of scientifically exploring their world over people who can do brain imaging and show a significant difference physiologically from a strait and gay response to stimuli

@ the poor fool below me:

As a matter of fact you are 10 IQ points below me and I know you are full of **** because only an idiot pulls out his IQ

NOW Mr science how does pi = 3? Should we keep pi as 3 just because your book says so? Rocket science? BS someone who will buy it.

We know it was not the plan of God Almighty for a man to lie with a man or a woman to lie with a woman, but it does exist. If it exists then it is the will of God Almighty. God Almighty does not say it is a sin that can not be forgiven. He does say it is something he did not plan. People will always have the issue of homosexuality before them. Many will choose this lifestyle because of many different reasons, some will be Innocent and others will be of their own choice.

I tell you now that a man that tells another person not to do something because the Holy Bible says it is so, then that person is living in sin. For God Almighty did not write the Holy Bible for each of us to judge one another but rather to help one another. We can not express this enough. Yet people think it is a rule book. If it was a rule book, many will die, because people do not follow rules that well.

It clearly says that salvation is by grace, through the blood of Jesus Christ. There are many Christians that have the issue of homosexuality, and some will die, some will live. I think you are speaking about if a Christian is not living the plan of God Almighty , the person can not be saved. I tell you not one person is living the plan of God Almighty. So if you are asking if a homosexual can be a Christian, the answer is yes.

We must learn to love one another without issues of sexuality involved. That is the way it is supposed to be. Love your neighbor as you love yourself. We understand that is even hard for anyone to do, yet many call themselves a Christian.

When someone asks for help from Jesus Christ, they will always be doing the will of God Almighty. So if you are in a homosexual situation, ask in the name of Jesus Christ if this is the will of God Almighty. If you do not ask, then you are doing your will.

Yes there are some Christians that do not have to ask in prayer as often as another because the closer you are living to the plan of God Almighty the less you are unsure of yourself if you are doing His will.

If, like you say, you're Christian then why are you not following Christ's teachings? Didn't he say, "love one another?" I not saying you have to love a person of the same sex just accept them for who they are, God does or he wouldn't have created them. Very few have ever spoken in tongues and as to their sexual preference that was never an issue.
I personally have never "spoken in tongues", but God has put many a kind and caring word(s) in my mouth as I help those who have lived through a disaster.
As a volunteer, I care not what or who a person is, I only care about getting them all the help I can. Even someone who feels as you do. Now, did God give me those words to say to you or was it something I just made up?

Second verse, same as the first. Speaking in tongues is nothing more than making unusual motions with your mouth and tongue while running your vocal chords. It's GIBBERISH.

If you are trying to come up with definative proof that gay people can't inherit the kingdom because it is impossible for them to speak in tongues, you might just be moving further from the kingdom yourself. Leave gay people alone.

For all you people saying to CarrieJean that homosexuality is not a sin, I suggest you read the Bible. Since Christianity is based on the Bible, what it says is what a Christian should believe in. If being stoned to death for being a homo doesn't qualify as a sin, I can't imagine what would.

Late note: Okay, wolfskoll, you want to talk science? I hold an MSEE and spent several years with NASA as a "rocket scientist". Science I understand. What folks like you DON'T understand is that Christianity is part and parcel of the Bible. The verses Christians quote are those which are part of their belief. OUR belief! No amount of science can change Biblical belief, and I personally find no inconsistencies between science and the Bible. You'll have to pardon me if I sound stupid. Mensa only rates me at 140, probably well below someone like you.

Being gay is simply a matter of preference.
Biologically it has it's drawbacks, but it isn't a sin.
