I don't think someone one asking this question is looking for easy parenting - a lot of people want to adopt and have already tried many routes and want to have a child so much that they look at all options to have a child to love - so many American girls that get pregnant either have abortions or keep them and do not have the skills to be a parent - so adopting is only for the rich ???? so not fair for people that are middle class - with out a lot of extra funds - should money be the reason someone gets a child??? I think not - there are children around the world that need a home and love why should they have to wait for someone to make them a part of their family because there are not enough rich people to adopt.

If you have good insurance, the cheapest way may be the doc just taking it off.
If you don't, then it depends where the wart is.
If it is on your foot, then yes you can use compound W, then cover with duct tape.
Also then follow up with a salt water bath for whereever the wart is. Aka if you live near the ocean, etc.. you can stick your feet in to the water to dry it up and kill the virus.

Liquid nitrogen applied by your doctor. They bring it to you in a paper cup with a cotton swab, and apply it to the wart and push hard INTO the wart (to get the roots of the wart). It doesn't hurt at ALL. I've had it done with an electric wand...(burning it off)...that SUCKS..! NEVER AGAIN.
The pads & liquid over-the-counter stuff is only a temporary fix too....
so I vote for the liquid nitrogen!

Your in luck if you live where there is milkweed growing. Just break of some milkweed and rub the milk on your wart about three or so times a day. The wart will fall off with in the week. :0)

This is gross but this was told to me by a doctor 20 yrs ago. If you have a young child in the house,, and it has peed it diaper you can wrap a piece of the urine soaked material around it. If no baby, pee on your hand. Uric acid kills the wart quickly.

Cover it with duct tape for a couple weeks. The wart can't breathe and it dies. It works like a charm. Hope this helps.

Crush aspirin and apply it to the wart, and then wrap it in cellophane or duct tape. Using this tape won't allow air in and will allow the wart to become pruny underneath so that the aspirin is absorbed.

either dr. Scholls freezing kit (doesnt hurt like it does at the doctors) or alternating duct tape on and off the wart
