nobody knows who started it

Nobody started it one fine morning out of a blue. Lots of ppl who believed in different different spiritual leaders but believed in almost same god existed in india thousands of years b4. Hinduism came much later where all these ppl were unified under one religion but still given the liberty to worship the gods they found is acceptable. Thats why you have a hell lotza lesser gods in hinduism but the concept of ultimate god is only one. And I think rat's brains are too small to contain ideas as profound as Bhagavat gita.

Hinduism is not one religion but a name to group the many different religions of Indians. Each religion in Hinduism has its own philosophy and beliefs and teachers. They can disagree invariably but still live with each other.
I wouldn't go into detail cos I can't remember all their names and I will have to go home and dig out all my notes.

Hinduism is not a religion. It is the 'Way Of Life'. There is no single person or prophet who started the Hindu Way of Life. Hindus are the most tolerant people.

Geez... does anyone know this? Hinduism is about 6,000 years old as far as I know. Certainly it's the oldest established religion, I would think.
