01: As a kitchen decoration.
02: To let the hubby cook.
03: To have gifts to others weddings.
04: So that other's would think she cooks.
05: As starting inventory for kitchen store for a new business.
06: she plans to learn how to cook, especially when she and her hubby is bored eating fried chicken.
07: Utensils for the maids.
08: To have something to throw to the husband during quarrels.
09: To have something to bang around during new year and
10: To prevent the hassle from their guests to think of what gifts to buy when she does not know how to cook :-|..

Hahahahaha!! It's so true isn't it? I'm going with so they can return them for gifts they really want, or they want everyone to think they are going to magically have the skills to use the appliances. It's a toss up! Great question!

Appliances are $$$.... after the wedding she can take them back and buy clothes with them... (you can't register for clothes)

Because they're usually shiny and sparkly, they look really cool and complicated, and because it's so much fun to look through a catalog and say "I want that one, and that one, and oooo that one too!"
