Some people care about what is true...-Atheists

Some people would rather just believe what they want to believe is true... -Theists

Theists just want to believe because they want to believe. They admit they can't prove it.(Faith)

Atheists follow the truth whereever it leads and if you do the same you will realize that there is no basis in fact for belief in anything supernatural ..it's all about faith.

"Faith is a cop-out. It is intellectual bankruptcy. If the only way you can accept an assertion is by faith, then you are conceding that it can't be taken on its own merits." - Dan Barker former preacher (19 years)

We learn at a very early age the relation between cause and effect. It has survival value for us to know that relationship, especially when we understand that living things with intelligence are much more likely to cause things to happen that can benefit or harm us. Some things happen that we don't understand, and we try to make sense of them by attributing some unknown intelligence as the cause. The fact that the universe exists, that we exist, is a really big thing that we don't understand, and seemingly the only explanation is that some super intelligent and powerful being created the universe and us.

Some people don't realize that this is fuzzy thinking, and really genuinely believe in a God or multiple gods. Other people recognize that is superstition, and don't believe in gods.

Weak minded people have bought into the fear of eternal damnation. If this wasnt pushed down their throats so much, their numbers would diminish. It is the biggest conspiracy of all time that is nothing more than to instill fear and extract money from the hopeless masses. Me personally cannot believe in a god that you pray to when you need him but he can go off on you at any time and I am suppossed to be grateful for that.

There is an answer found in scripture. Jesus said that people won't "come to the light" (and He is the light of the world) "because their deeds are evil". When I read that I thought, whoa, that's really strongly put. I mean, maybe they just don't really think about it.

However, as I consider Jesus to be God made flesh, what He says goes. With me, anyway.

We all are different, DNA proves our uniqueness. Therefore what others can understand, others won't be able to. There is so much more involved in our decision to reject or accept God.
I believe we are facing times in which more and more youth will reject God...we are near the end. Evil (deception) is increasing, but God will always be in control.

I think it's because they have free will and they either choose to believe or not; which is their choice. God allowed free will even as far back as the Garden of Eden...............
