The most accurate information on ethnic diversity in any region of UK, including England, is available from the last census returns for the year 2000. Any new information is most likely to be sourced at town hall level and it may therefore be difficult to obtain an accurate picture of such ethnic minorities for the whole of England. Generally, for the whole of the UK about 85 percent of the population are classified as Anglo Saxon. The other 15 percent are made up firstly of Celts and about 2 percent of non-white races.

Demographics of this type can be easily calculated but you have to be more specific. You can look at tables that have all the values and then you must use a program like SPSS to group the various categories(in this case ethnicities) and establish trends. Rates over time are also pointless; that is they have no beginning or ending unless you define them. Try narrowing down your question to read something like what was the POPULATION growth rate for BLACK Britons from 2000 to 2006?

America was once a country occupied by the native Americans (Indians). But white people kept on immigrating to the US, without the permission of the Natives, occupied there land, treated the native like sh*t, and now there the majority in the USA. What goes around, comes around. Now bach to the question. The growth rate is probably less than 5% of the UK growth rate.

I think the main reason for the growth of immigrants is to suppress the high levels of wages. Not to improve our economy. I very much doubt if anyone has a clue to the numbers of influx of overseas visitors. By the very nature you cannot determine an unknown if illegals are spreading themselves over the whole of the UK. Now you have secondary generations and so on etc of persons, obviously by colour, being born here, it is very diffcult to know who is English or not from a visual point of view. Unless everyone cooperates with a census and each individual is identified, say with an ID card, you are never going to know.

To be fair to the original question - it is not actually a question of skin colour. Most immigration into the UK (not just England if we are being picky) is from the new European states - such as Poland. I read in the press that it is between 300,000 and 500,000 - but this is not very authoritative. All I know is that they take jobs which help sustain our economy.

As a Celt I am now an Ethnic minority. you Anglo Saxons have been raping and pillaging across my country for to long you've been breeding like rabbits for to long. You need to be taught how to use condoms so we can get our country back. If you want the full figures look under Government Actuary's Department: Office for national Statistics. They are on Spreadsheet files.

Define Ethnic Minorities please - All non-white people?
Or all Non-White and Non-Black people.

So is it just based on Skin colour or is it based on religion solely. (Like a White-Muslim is an ethnic minority)

I'm not asking about the ACTUAL definition... jus the one you are using.
