Isn't that the Utopian goal, a loborless society of vegetative humans? Ah...somebody is going to have to maintain the machines, we can import labor from China or Mexico to do that.

The really good news is that every time a new contraption enters the corporate world it has been predicted to be all doom and gloom for the workers.
Remember? Computers were going to eliminate the office workers as well as all of the paper work and filing? Yeah, right. The office I'm familiar with ended up with two more employees - both with better paying positions than the regular office workers - who, incidentally, are still here.
It'll be interesting to see if the government requires 15% of the robots to be painted black and another percentage to be fitted with sombreros and phony data plates to conform to affirmative action regulations.
Not to worry....people still have to design the robots, build the robots, program the robots on CPUs designed and built by other people, test them and debug them, maintain them and repair them. That's still a lot of jobs, eh? Possibly more, when the whole picture is considered, than it would require just to have people complete the tasks.
I'm much more concerned with outsourcing of our work force to cheap labor, third world countries than I am about any robot takeover.

and yeah you can tie this with immigration. robots are a form of cheap labor. plain and simple. It's the same with all of the mexicans and other races that are flowing in here. some are not educated enough to know (yet) that they should be getting paid more and american companies are and will take advantage of that.
Ask any race that knows how America works.... it's getting harder to find cheap labor anymore ! ! !
no cheap labor workers means = robots to do the job and they don't have to pay them anything ! !
Always remember, american companies are into BIG profits !!
nothing more / nothing less.
they will welcome anything or anybody to help them reach the big profits. anything that will take all that away will be gotten rid of asap !!!

And they were working in hospitals. One Robot did Chiropractic.
You can tie in immigration as said above, Business does not care about anything but the dollar. Slave labor will be replaced by anything or anyone who will do the job for less.

Well, it does sound good for tomato picking I guess. Where would the be the fun in all that? Arguments will cease instantaneously. To bad machines can not keep you fit, you still need that cardio. I agree with most of your other posts too. What a fun question this is. :)

All those questions fit and
Why do you hate us?
What about the war?
Are they Red necks or Nazi or Illegals robots?
Robots just want a better life?
At least we won't have to support them.

I saw that. And they were working in banks, farming, police and stores. And doing the typing. And doing it well!
We don't need more people that will be out of work. They will do the job!
