What was the OFFICIAL religion of the southern colonies? such as G.A, South Carloine, and NOrth Caroline?

There is no official religion in the United States....nor are there any colonies here either. Christianity is the predominant religion, but the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, forbids any governing body in the country from making an official religion: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...."
We haven't had colonies here since the defeated the British in our Revolutionary War...in 1783.
