Listen Sam, I know you're a young kid so you may not realize it but when you cover someones mouth and nose you could kill them. You don't want to kill your little brother or sister do you? Heck no, if it were the other way around and you were the one crying and your older brother covered your mouth so you couldn't cry, wouldn't that scare you, sure it would! Regarding your fears about 7th grade. You are a very smart young man, believe me you won't have any trouble with it, really! Now when you start your 1st year of high school, well that might be a little scary. Don't worry, be happy!

I would think it's illegal to cover both the mouth and nose (since it could be considered suffocation). But I can't think of any law that prohibits you from covering just the mouth.

edit: Are you really only in the 7th grade? You should take some classes on childcare. There are many ways of dealing with children other than covering their mouth.

Okay. Let's rethink the part of your question that reads "is it against the law to prevent a child from breathing..." pretty much any information beyond that point is irrelevant. To prevent another human being from breathing is against the law. Period. Suffocation, false imprisonment, child endangerment and a few other felonies come to mind. Could we have your address so the police will know where to contact you??

I bet you're one of those parents who think it is okay to give your kid benadryl or dimetap to get them to sleep even if they're not sick, too, huh?

Wow.

This is possibly the stupidest question I have ever read on this forum. You know people are going to misunderstand what you mean. Of course people cover kids' mouths to quiet them, but you don't EVER try to keep someone from breathing, you idiot! The child will either choose screaming or breathing. It will always be breathing I assure you.

It sounds like the child is being suffocated. I am not sure of the child's age but if anyone is deprived of oxygen too long it can result in brain damage. I would label that as maltreatment. If the child is having behavioral issues, whoever is doing that needs to find another way to quiet him/her down.

I study the articles and the subject i discovered maximum profound is that for the main section they manage international locations attempting to attempt against kin violence. i think of we can all agree that it isn't in any respect a competent difficulty for anybody, male or woman, to be crushed or killed with the help of their companion. The abuse of girls in India has continuously been abhorent. Are you suggesting that they no longer bypass those regulations and proceed to enable female be burned alive for no longer producing a son or because of the fact her husband died? those are very primary practices in India. England is likewise between the few international locations that understand submit-portem melancholy as an ailment and as a protection in infanticide cases. however the protection is rarely used because of the fact the evidence must be irrefutable. i'm particular that stands out as the case with using those kin violence defenses besides. I ought to agree, the swedish "guy tax" difficulty grew to become into extra suitable than slightly over the desirable. and that i in actual fact wish that the female who stated "all adult men are animals" isn't the guy who counsels the abuse sufferers and need she grew to become into basically having a bad day or grew to become into quoted out of context. yet relatively different than the swedish guy tax, I basically did no longer see distinctive opposite sexism in those articles.

Assuming this is a young child that can't be told to be quiet...most likely this is against the law.

yes it is because its using force against the childs will and most likey the child will suffocate and why would you do it? i mean a kid acts up, leave the area go home and put the kid in corner (what ever you use for time out)

I'm pretty sure smothering/attempting- to- smother people is illegal almost everywhere.

It sounds like you could benefit from some parenting or stress management classes.

hey I don't know if its against the law, but we prevented ours from breathing last week. He didn't start breathing again but he shut up anyhow. We know a good taxidermist anyway, if you need one. He looks as good as new, except now he doesn't make a peep
