You mean particular stylist? Trust. You have to understand that hair is like fabric. The more chances you give someone to work with you and your hair, the better they will become at understanding your particular needs. People who think we do only what we want are not seeing the big picture. You may not know what the style requires, and if a stylist isn't telling you the truth, then do not let them do your hair. You have an opinion. I like my clients to bring in pictures, it gives me an idea of where they want to go or what they are thinking. I then give advice according to their hair structure. Not everyone can have whatever style is out there. Many factors are involved, including whether or not the client is capable of repeating the style after the professional finishes it. Many people refuse to listen to the product recommendations, and wonder why their hair doesn't look the same. It takes an average of 4 products to style your hair, that includes shampoo and moisturizer or anti-humectant. So, when we try to do a service, it is team work, yours and mine.

When I go in the first time, and not only do I get a fabulous cut and style (and if I get a dye the dye job has to be great, no streaking or runs) but the stylist is friendly and chatty, and makes the time go by faster.

I like the Penthouse (it's a salon in a nearby city). It's got all sorts of beauty products, complimentary eyebrow waxing, and great stylists.

Trust! Plus they do a great job when they cut/style your hair. They take the time to know what works best with your type of hair, so they can help you decide on something different when you find a certain cut/style in a magazine other than your normal cut/style. They even listen to you and not just hear you say something, that also says a lot about them...you can count on them to take good care of your precious locks!

I've only had two people cut my hair in my LIFE! If they do a great job, and go back. If not, take your chances with someone else. If they do exactly as you asked, but then you're not happy - it's probably not their fault. Make sure communication is clear before any snips or treatments touch the hair!

My stylist moved over a year ago and I haven't found a decent one to replace her yet! I hate it when you tell them what you want and they look at you like you were speaking Martian and do what they want regardless. Why does a stylist, who has never met you before, think that because she graduated from Beauty School thinks she knows more about the hair you've lived with all your life? I would love to find a stylist who will give me a cut that I actually like!

She's good at what she does. She always makes my hair look beautiful. I actually went to get my hair done today and instead of pop or water to drink she had a beer for me. She's so nice!!

She/He pays attention to my hair. Besides that they are my phsychologist, lawyer, doctor, analyst, friend, and a mentor. What can you ask for a hairdresser, and they are very loyal to you too.

Personality, quality of the hairstyling, level of attention paid to the customer, and price.

Mine doesn't make idle chatter, and she does a really good job with my hair. We have similar tastes in hair, so I trust her judgement.

She also does a great job with my eyebrows!

Convenient location, good haircut, and not a long waiting line.
