You need to talk to your doctor and tell him this. This is a symptom of severe depression. There is help available and it is effective. It takes most medicine at least 4 weeks to work and sometimes you need to try more than one. It can help to talk to a psychologist while you are on medication to help things along. Severe depression is very serious and can be life threatening. Please tell your parents, a friend, family or anyone that will help you to go to the doctor if you can't get yourself to call your doctor yourself.

are you familiar with the symptoms for clinical depression. an inability to smile or find a reason to smile would be a prime symptom.
i encourage you to see a psychiatrist ASAP. it's 2006 and you don't need to suffer this way. there are medications and talk theraphy sessions designed to help a patient overcome these impediments to a happy, content life.
please seek help. my deepest sympathy. i am living with depression each day. with medication, i am able to get through each day. however, i never would have made it w/out psychiatric help. Good luck!

Practice in the mirror and talk to every cute girl you see....who cares if she snubs you! Move to the next one! Plenty of fish in the sea! With that balsy approach, you'll meet someone to talk to and maybe more....and hopefully she will help you find a new reason to smile :) Ummm.....if you're gay of course, you should try this approach with a man....good luck! Hope you find a reason to smile soon! There are so many wonderful things in this world to smile about.....even on the day I found out my husband was having an affair, I smiled at an old man walking his dog....for no other reason than he was doing something so absurdly normal while my heart was shattering....and he smiled at me....that's the beauty of it. Life is funny that way - good luck!

Time to get some professional help. Start with your family doctor and see what he/she recommends. What other symptoms do you have? Trouble sleeping? Change in appetite? Moodiness? More irritable? Poor concentration? These are all things your Doctor will want to know. Do not delay...get help. You'll feel so much better.

There is always someone who has it worse than you. True. As long as you think you can't, you won't. I have found if you fake a smile, people will still smile back at you. Soon, you won't be faking it. If you frown, well, nothing good will come of it.

Stand on top of your head. Then it will appear to the rest of us that you are smiling, eh? ;0) Things will all work out in the end.

Must have an ex-spouse like my own -- Nasty, Violent, Abusive, and who more than a decade and half AFTER the divorce was final -- STILL stalks, damages my property, and robs my residence.
