Hate to say it, but the religion is a strong factor. although I disagree totally with the beating, slapping, or brow beating. Ain't cool. You must remember in their countrys it is a controlling factor, they own their women just as property and can be very cruel. They can trade you, beat you, rape you, force things on you, and other things we won't go into here. I have been to several countries in my life, and even I had to hold my tongue, from outrage of the vileness and treatment of their women. To me a woman is a very loving person in a lot of ways. In other countries not so good. The women have no or few rights, they are property to be dealt with as we sell homes etc. here. Hate to tell you the truth, but it is true.In many countries men feel their women are good for only such things as: Sex goddess, bearing children, staying home, trade value, doing what they are told or else-other things I will not discuss here. Love does not play that importance in some countries-it is how many you own and what value they are worth.

No, It is the wrong thinking. Hitting a woman could turn into abusing a woman and a life could be at stake. I think if a man carry on hitting a woman, the woman can apply for person protection order (PPO) against the guy. I(f the guy refuse to follow the PPO, he can be charged in court. So it is better to advice the woman to stand out and apply a PPO if the guy carry on hitting her

Well, if he's a moslem, I believe he must know the meaning of his religion. Cause all I know, Islam has mean peace. So, there's no reason to hit someone (even if his wife or daughter or son). And it wasn't true he still love her, but, we have to know the reason why he must hit her?
Once a man hit a women, so further time, he'll hit her, and it will continuously. He's not in love with her anymore.

Simple, if a man hit a women who was talking just before she got hit, it's because she insulted him.
If the man hits a women for no reason, without being pervoked, then he has a problem and should be arrested.
It's all domestic violence and is a crime in the USA.

I am unfamiliar with the Muslim rites or religion. Somehow I cannot see any religion okaying this type of abuse of a woman. Am familiar that some cultures do allow this type of behaviour but does that make it right?...
