I really love this boy named Phillip but the problem is that all of my friends hate him. Also, I am afraid to ask him out cuz he barely knows me. But I can't really hang out wit him cuz my friends always need me with them. Also if I hang with Pillip, I'll be late for class cuz I'm only in 6th grade!! Please help!!!

I'm not an adult, so maybe my advice will help cuz I have about the same problems as you. I've had a relationship for the last five months. The problem is that my friends didn't like my boyfriend. My best friend, who's a girl, thinks my bf doesn't wanna meet her. She also thinks my bf tries to make me be with him all the time, without caring about the rest of my friends. Another friend of mine, a boy, used to like me. But I wasn't supposed to know cuz he had never told me this. When I went out with another guy, my friend was annoyed about this and started avoiding me. Finally, I turned out losing almost all of my friends just to hang out with my boyfriend, but we really love each other so I don't mind about the others. I suggest you should try talking to him so that you get to know each other better. Make sure he likes you, too and then ask him out. If you find out he's really a nice guy worth being loved, then try making your friends see he's a good person. If they continue hating him, then you should choose like I did: you wanna be with Phillip or with your friends(who should respect your choices if they're real friends). Maybe you should share your free time among your bf and your friends. As for your school, you shouldn't be late for class just to hang with Phillip! Try meeting him after school, cuz it's as important as having a bf.
I hope it helped!

You're in the 6th grade? Honey, there's better things to worry about. You will have many more years to encounter that kind of problem. Trust me, worrying about boys (they will always be boys as they never grow up) never ends even when you're married and old and gray.

Girls never ask boys out. It's just tacky. You're way too special for that. There's many many many many boys out there. Philip should be the one worried about getting your attention, not the other way around. Enjoy the company of your friends. These are the ones who will stay with you for life and through all the boys you will encounter in your life. And if they don't like Philip, they must see something that you don't because you're so starry-eyed right now. Have fun with your friends and treasure your time together.

Since you are posting in the Grade School catagory I am going to tell you what a lot of other adults on here will tell you. You are way too young to be worrying about boys! Enjoy being young. Hang out with friends. Don't let a guy come between you and your friends. They are not worth it.

Look, it doesn't matter what your friends think or say or anything like that. And what's this about them always needing you with them? Can't they get along on their own? The important thing is to do what you want to do. If you like this dude, then you know what you have to do about it.
