Lately I dream about breaking things (dishes, etc), and sometimes hurting people (random strangers). Why? I'm not violent and no more stressed than the next typical person. Does anyone else have destructive dreams?

(As someone pointed out, I should be more specific -- these are nighttime dreams. Thanks again.)

Everyone dreams, just most don't remember them. Sometimes the violent dreams are a build up of not only dtress, but frustration with something in your waking hours. Something could be very upsetting or getting on your nerves during the day, but it may be in situations where you don't feel able to (or it isn't appropriate) to speak your mind and get it off your chest. It could even be something little that has built up over time. The dreams could be your way of breaking through all that.

No, no destructive dreams on this end. Sorry, but I would need a little bit more insight before giving you an interpretation. Lots of times they say that the people in a dream symbolize the person having a dream. So you might just be practicing self-destructive behaviors and this is the way of your body telling you to let go of some things before you seriously hurt your health. Also, the dishes (depending on their condition) could be those things that you find as precious or necessary to your comfortable lifestyle and you feel like they are being attacked or that you are in danger of losing them. That's all I could offer for now.

read the "book of dreams" by sylvia browne...
It doesn't mean you're going to really hurt people or anything like that its just your minds way of getting rid of the stress... Have you been bothered by something or struggling with something lately believe me it could be the stupidest little thing... when im overstressed/worried about something or you could even be mad at someone and holding it in i dream about beating someone up it usually ends up being the same girl everytime and believe me i would never want to harm her or anyone in real life thats just how the dream plays out and if you think about how opposite it is from what your actions would really be in some situations its kinda funny that you would play it out like that in a dream

Yeah, it is just a way to take the day's stresses out without hurting anyone. Next tim someone ticks you off, instead of holding it in, get angry at them. It will stop the strange dreams and prevent an ulcer.
