Well, now a days, everything is sorta different and changed now. Girls even ask the guys for marriage.. so why not a girl ask a guy out? Yeah, I know what you mean when you said you're "old fashioned." I'm like that too =). I find it weird to ask a guy out, especially if it's the first date. But, I mean, you could have a usual, casual conversation and then just say, "hey, so do you want to go watch a movie or something or grab a bite?" Something like that lol. Shouldn't be too hard.

Good luck with it, yeah! =D Be cool and calm.. don't worry about a thing =). And, I guess some guys do like it when a girl wants to set up a date for them. Depends though, because every guy is different =).

I always liked for the fellow to make the first move or for it to be so natural that it seemed like a mutual meeting.

Guys get the wrong idea if you approach them. They get a big head and can go through the rest of the relationship thinking consciously or subconsciously, "She's crazy about me".

Guys like to be the pursuer. If you are too eager to meet them, you must not be so great. They want what they can't have.

So while you letting him discover you, it is OK to be in some of the same classes or fast food restaurants or movies.

You can let him catch you glancing at him (then smile like you are embarrassed) and that should help give him some encouragement.

Otherwise he might already have a girlfriend or not be interested.
Don't always be with 4 or 5 girlfriends because that is often too intimidating.

It is best to date in groups of friends so that everyone can have fun and stay out of trouble. Think Movies, Fun Center, Bowling, Beach days.

Don't let anyone trick you into having any kind of sexual relationship. No heavy make out sessions. If either of you begins to get arroused, STOP and do something less dangerous and out in the open.

The guys will respect you and the ones who are interested in using girls won't hang around. It is a great way to weed out the bad ones.

Keep your premarital relationships pure and wait until after you are married to have sex.

God Bless You, ;-)

Look, dear, in my generation if a girl walked up she'd have been considered a ho'. But this is 2006. So just take that first step - maybe that guy you are afraid to ask out is too shy to ask you; so maybe you'd never have gone out without being a little brave.

That's what us guys have always had to go thru - get our feelings shot down time after time and practically never recover enough nerve to keep going and I for one always hated it. So what's the worst thing? He'd say no? You're already saying "no" to him by doing nothing!

I wish I'd been dating in these times, cause I would have welcomed a forward chick - by the way, it is a double standard that it's ok for him to go to you but if you do it your'e a sl*t. Don't listen to that crap.

If you do go up to him be natural and say you think he's interesting, or cute, or you'd always wanted to get to know him, or blah blah, whatever he's into like sports, etc. Best of luck.

If the guy is shy, how will he ever know that you are interested if you don't approach? Seriously...what's wrong with expressing an interest? Being the shy type myself, I can tell you that without a 'glimpse' of interest from you, I would NEVER approach. Also, personally...I'm turned off by flirting, would rather have a good honest conversation than be embarrassed (especially in a group).

Good Luck!

They love it when you go up to them and no you won't look like a ho you will look like a woman confident in herself who knows what she wants and goes after it. My friends always send me up to a guy for them and 9 out of 10 times they wind up coming after me because I am the one with the guts and the confidence

Now adays it doesnt matter who makes the 1st move.I think guys also like it when a girl lets him know she is interested anyway. Gives the guys a break, many have a hard time starting a conversation too!

Every guy I've ever talked to about it thinks it's really hot when a confident girl starts a conversation with him. Talking isn't too forward, and it gives you a chance to see how he reacts to you. Is he really paying attention to what you say, and participating in the conversation, or are his eyes darting towards the nearest exit?

Keep it relaxed and casual, and see what happens!

Realize that it's just as difficult for a guy to approach a woman, as it is for a woman to approach a guy. Nobody likes being turned down. He may be having the same feelings and fears that you have.

Try asking him to join you and some of your friends for a movie, or something; like being just one of the gang. Then just let nature take its course.
