Here's another alternative to having the bride and groom kiss to the clinking of glasses. Before the reception, tie one or two balloons at each table with a message inside. When someone wants the couple to kiss, they have to break a balloon and do whatever the enclosed message says. An example might be "tell a funny story about the bride or groom..

I think the guests just tap the champange glass with an utensil or sometimes people have set out bells, its a request for the bride and groom to kiss.

My favorite version was that the bride and groom have to kiss when someone (or a group of someones) get up and sing a song with the word "love" in it. Any song, any language. It was very cute and didn't really get tiresome.

Do you mean a toast? That's all I can think of. People toast the bride and groom and they kiss, sometimes people will pay a small fee to help out the couple when they kiss.

Any bell would work.

The russians have a word Gorka. It means bitterness. The guests chant Gorka Gorka several times. Then the couple is supposed to kiss until the bitterness of their single lives is gone.

I think they are considered wedding favors- you might find them there. If I know what you're talking about, you mean a little business card thing with a tiny bell in it, and it has their names and a little message printed in it. I think you will find them under wedding favors. Hope it helps!

I've heard of people hitting their glasses with silverware to get them to kiss.
