i am unsure of the origin. all i know that it could be French and that a family who is Dutch has been here in Australia for 50 years. I've looked on the net and that it could have Italian origin. Its all a bit up in the air, i'm just looking for some clarity on the surname. I was told that the male of this surname was Australian born ,yeh but what is the history of the surname LETTE. If anyone knows please drop me an email. It would really put me at ease. Thanks

It's probably Italian.

Almost everybody in Australia is from somewhere else, so could be anywhere.

You might try the genealogy sites, there are lots of genealogy addicts.
