i only met him a few days ago, but we have talked a lot, but i wouldnt quite say we are "hang out" type of friends. if that makes sense.

i have to add that i like him....i know i know, i just met him, but i can tell already that hes a great guy

just make it a point to casually let your paths cross, say hello and tell him how you did enjoy your last meeting and discussion with him. Tell him in your view he seems like a very nice guy and that you do appreciate the fact that you did meet him.
While doing this keep your eyes open and do notice if he is looking at your eyes, listening to you, and/or seems interested in what you are saying to him. If you are careful you can see and know if you should continue or just say again thanks for the chance you gave me to meet you and go on with your other business for the time being.
Who knows one more [accidental ha ha] meeting may stir some interest within him for you. Be careful and don't push but be gentle and use nice words. Let nature do the rest OK. That is His pure innate nature OK.
I tell you I married for friendship and our relationship for the past 17 years is great because we are the best of friends OK. In fact my wife is the greatest friend I ever had in my life.

just when your talking with him casually mention that u would like to hang out with him and get his phone #. then call him and ask him to go to the movies with u and a group of people

Just tell him you would like to get to know him more as a friend.If he did not mind talking to you more often.
