I have this crush on a new waitress that used to be a cook a little while back. Shes really pretty, she has brown eyes, brown hair and is really friendly with everyone. Im a cook at this resturaunt, and I have 3 problems. 1....I am kinda shy and afraid to talk to her because Im afraid something stupid will come out of my mouth. 2...Im worried that it would be unprofessional to even think such a thing. 3....I have flared up acne that Im trying to clear up now. I need advice on how to approach this...please?

1. Females notice emotion, sincerity and feelings most even though they do acknowledge you visually. If acne is the worst problem you have in life you are lucky, not to be a smart @$$ or bring you down. Women have a tendancy to see beyond something like that (as anyone should because it is not a defamation of your character), when they notice you exhibiting quality values, and treat them special. A little humor goes a long way too. Don't worry about messing up verbally, it could end up being to your advantage by being a humourous icebreaker. The only thing you have to remember is if you date this person or even become serious, you both are in the same workplace so you will have to know how to handle any differences you have out of the work place and manage to get along in the work placed as well as out. Just be yourself. We can't help who we like or dislike so go for it. Good luck.

I've been a Chef for 28 years man and this is like working the desert sation and not trying the Ice Cream . It is a time honored
tradition for cooks and Chef to bang the wait staff, it always starts with after work drink or the hey I need a ride home go for it.

i have executed this myself some circumstances. Hahaha. The worst reaction that I were given occurred even as the waitress began speaking about her boyfriend or basically replaced the concern to at least something else-rapidly, and that stopped me. the proper reaction can be a convinced, so basically imagine about that. it truly is it, in my adventure. basically try. It takes guts to ask any female out, yet highly a waitress.

In all honesty - don't date anyone you work with. It may be tough, as I'm sure she's cute... but if things don't work out - you still have to go to work (with her there).

My recommendation - go to a library or somewhere like that to meet a nice girl. I'm not saying this girl at your work isn't nice - she quite probably is.. but there are PLENTY of fish in the sea. Be selective.

As for your shyness - this is natural. Overcome it through confidence - practice talking to women. Don't think about what you're going to say - just do it. Be happy inside and it will shine through.

First thing you need to do is get some self confidence. If you decide to ask her out do it outside of work, not during work hours. You need to be very careful when trying to date someone you work with, it can be construed as sexual harassment.
