Actually some of the polite atheist answers were quite insightful - but mean atheists are not going to do anything but piss people off!!! I try not to be rude so I expect others to do the same....It doesn't hurt me but I wish I didn't have to look at it before I press that little thumbs down button!!! :)

PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS GOING TO BE RUDE HONEY THIS IS THE WAY OF THE WORLD YOU HAVE TO LEARN TO IGNORE THEM AND LET IT ROLL OFF YOUR BACK AND YOU NEED TO NOT GO DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL BY SAYING THEY SUCK THEY HAVE ACHIEVED THEIR GOAL AND YOU HAVE NOT MADE YOUR POINT AND THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU WANT

They have to say SOMETHING to get the 2 points!!!...

and... not all that claim to be athiests are sure what they believe...

some of these people are only 11 yrs old.. some are 14 (those are the ones that swear a LOT) and some are older...

it is hard to tell how old someone is by the way they answer because many of the people in this category have a native language other than English...

Just hang in there!

When people say No ATHEISTs most likely don't mean to be rude, and it not beacause people don't want you to answer. For example if you were asking a question about a music group you would say Red Hot Chili Pepper fans only it would be a whole lot easier. in stead of people who don't know answering your question. Its limiting the answers, but it sure is not limiting you. Maybe they are asking a questions about another religion that is not atheist because you may not understand,or you may not be comfortable answering the question. But if you know the answer regardless of your religion you should answer it, but if you don't want anyone starting a riot just answer politly, believe it or not there are nice people here, but there are just people who give themselves bad name by being rude. I hope this helped

You know what you can do? If you get answers that insult you, or are rude to you, or are obnoxious in any way, just click the little "thumb down" by that answer, and it becomes hidden, so you don't have to read it any more.

It's a pretty neat way to get those out of sight, so you can read over the ones that are really interesting.

If you ask questions you'll get answers and not all of them will be polite. Ignore the rude ones. Keep asking and don't get upset because some people are jerks. Get upset and they win.

Once I was at the gravesite of my Father meditating on his life. I had a couple Christians walk up and ask me what church he went to. I politely told them he was an atheist and didn't go to church hoping they would not bother me. The two christians told me he was burning in hell.

And You think Atheists are rude for answering a few questions on a website!!! Live in my world for a change. Christians constantly threaten, call names, pretend they are holier than thou, while committing the worst hypocracies imaginable. Maybe a couple atheists answered a few questions on a website when you said not to, but in the real world christians are rude all the time.

What did you think was going to happen? Atheism as its practiced today has less to do with a disinterest in religion than it does in being an anti-Chrisitan hate group.
Telling an atheist not to be rude to a Christian is like telling a Klansman not to rude to a black or a Nazi not to be rude to a Jew.
I fully expect that some atheist will prove my point by reporting this.

Well, as you see I totally refrained from answering your other question, but I think you are mistaken if you just close the possibility of considering what Atheists have to tell you about it. I know we aren't Christians, but we are surrounded by Christians, so we do have an opinion about why it may be difficult to be one.

I'm not excusing rude answers by other unbelievers, but I think they have a point in feeling upset if you close the door altogether.

You can't exclude anyone from answering your questions. Some people are rude, and some people aren't, but by posting your questions here you post them for ALL to answer and are not allowed to exclude anyone. Atheiests can't exclude Christians, Christians can't exclude Islamists, Republicans can't exclude Democrats. This is about the free exchange of ideas, and by saying "no atheists" you are automatically setting yourself up for insults as excluding them sets you up for hostility from them from the word "go". Mean people do suck, but you are NOT allowed to exlude anyone simply because you don't want them to answer. If you can't deal with that, you don't belong here.

well to be fair...when people ask questions geared towards atheists...some christians post bible verses and say that god is the only path. so it really goes both ways. i am sorry that some atheists were rude to you. i personally try not to be rude when i am answering questions.
