I mean our president already talks to Jesus.
The republican's court the right wind fundamentalist christians and the rest of Americans who vote for them don't mind, or are too blind with fear to object to the one sided policies.

If we were a Christian Nation then we could persecute homosexuals openly, oppose stem cell research (it kills babies) yet wage war day and night (Jesus don't mind killin infidel babies) in God's name.

Well, what do you think?

What are you smoking?
America is not and has never been a "Christian Nation". In 1797 America made a treaty with Tripoli, declaring that "the government of the United States is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion." This was written by president John Adams, one of the founding fathers.

The First Amendment protects religious freedom, even those who the majority disagree with.

It's obvious the point you want to get across is to the contrary.
If you want to see to see the effect of running countries based on religion, well just look at Islamic countries. Most of them have tremendous oil wealth yet they continue to languish at the lower end of the heap when it comes to the Human Developent Index (HDI). (HDI was developed in 1990 by the Pakistani economist Mahbub ul Haq. It is a comparative measure of poverty, literacy, education, life expectancy, childbirth, and other factors for countries worldwide & is a standard means of measuring well-being, especially child welfare). There is not a single Islamic country in the list of the top 30 countries.
So if you want to move the USA from a first world country to a third world country you know what to do.

America was based on freedom of religion. Turning the states into a full fledged Judeo-Neo Christian society goes against everything our forfathers put forth.

Although the Christian Republic Right THINKS they own our nation, they couldn't be further from the truth. We are a diverse nation, and we thrive on our melting pot. This is why other countries flee to ours. For our FREEDOMS and RIGHTS.

If it was a true Christian nation, homosexuals would NOT be persecuted because it is against the Holy Bible to hate and persecute one another. Judgement is God's and God's alone.

While, He tells us homosexuality is a sin, it does not mean you hate the person or hurt the person. God commanded us to Love One Another. We would not be at war with any nation, either. You are very much confused and biased, my dear.

And if we were truly a Christian nation, everyone would believe the Bible to the fullest and this question would not exist.

You need to grow up and open your eyes.
So basically you want to segregate our country all over again. You people and your backwards thinking. Hello! This is the 21st Century not the 18th! We alrady fought that battle long ago. Do you want to relive it? I highly doubt it. So shut up and go read your fairy tale book tahat is slowly killing all of your brain cells. You mindless zombie!

Christian here-and the answer is no.

We have seperation of church and state for a reason. People don't need the gov't running religion, or vice versa.

If anyone wants an example where religion runs the nation--look no further than Iran.

Peace be with you.

I dont think so. different people have different beliefs. The way you describe christianity there is actually quite terrible. Christianity - no matter how modern man has depicted it - is not how you say. A true christian accepts everyone as they are, a true christian wants peace and a true christian would fight for freedom for everyone, and not fight to procecute or condemn. And if thats the way you think then you aren't a true christian are you?

I betcha minimum wage would go up, crime down, and gas prices would settle down again too. And I am pretty sure we would go 4 years without sticking our noses in another countries affairs. hmmmm what a thought!
