We see people all the time that have cysts (what you may call boils) They can get pretty messy and irritated so see your derm when you start to break out with one and don't squeeze, let the doc lance it with sterile instruments. Nobody knows why this happens more often in some people than others but it's really not a big deal, most of the time an antibiotic is prescribed and it clears right up.

It happens to some people, and babies Ive heard.

Get a prescription for C-PRO, that will clear it up.
Use antibacterial soap. Wash your clothes and sheets.
It is an infection, and can make you very sick if they dont go away, and get larger. Your doctor may need to lance open the larger ones, to get the pus out.

The bacteria will spread until you get rid of them.

See a doctor before it gets worse.

It will probably return in a few months.

" Although anyone can develop these painful infections, people who have diabetes, a suppressed immune system, or acne or other skin problems are at increased risk.
You can usually care for a single boil at home, but don't attempt to lance or squeeze it — that may spread the infection. Call your doctor if a boil or carbuncle is extremely painful, lasts longer than two weeks or occurs with a fever. In that case, you may need antibiotics or surgical drainage to clear the infection.
A boil usually appears suddenly as a painful pink or red bump about 1/2 inch in diameter. The surrounding skin may also be red and swollen.
Within 24 hours, the bump fills with pus. It grows larger and more painful for five to seven days, sometimes reaching golf-ball size before it develops a yellow-white tip that finally ruptures and drains.

Buddy, I don't know what you did to cause it, but that's an infection! It's an infection caused by a rather common bacteria found naturally all over the skin. It's only a problem when it is at an imbalance. This happens when a pore gets clogged, or in your case, when the bacteria is stimulated to extreme reproduction. Staphtacoccus is the name of the bacteria. I would strongly suggest seeing your doctor, because if it is left untreated it can turn into Gangreen, and cause your flesh to rot off of your body. Don't fret however, it's commonly cured by taking antibiotics. Though I would suggest washing out your belly button with soap every day, and make sure you don't have a hernia there. Because the fluids that may leak from the belly button can cause explosive growth for bacteria like staph. Oh, and don't take asperin for the pain, it will lower your body's defenses causing you only to break out worse. If you want to take a pain killer I would suggest Tylenol aka Acedominaphen, or Ibprofren.

If the anti-bacterials kick it but it comes back, have it checked out by a dermatologist. Ask them to culture it to determine if it is bacteria or fungus.

If it is candida fungus, check out www.hufa.org, the yeast link, for some basic info on the candida (yeast) fungus. It also causes jock itch, athlete's foot, nail fungus and other nasty skin conditions.
