a friend of mine worked for an engineer, who said that the microwave is very safe and it does not emmit harmful "rays" inside.. so don't worry.
besides, there are so many "bad"things in this world, if we worry about everyone of them, we wouldn't even drink water (it's recycled u know)

Nooooo.

Are you saying that the microwave somehow altered the chemical composition of the water???? That's impossible, at least as you believe it might be happening (yes, we can split water in to is basic elements, oxygen and hydrogen, but it takes a lot of energy. And even then, other than an explosion risk, its not harmful.)

There simply is no way that water can become harmful (other than getting really hot!) Its just a bunch of H2O molecules! That can't change in a microwave.

I don't think so. I've heard though that you shouldn't heat things made of plastic (even microwave safe stuff) in the microwave because it supposedly forces the molecules into your food?!
I don't know, one second this is OK and the next second it's not. We probably will never know, our Great Grand kids will be like "they were so stupid, the whole time they were poisoning themselves!"
