What is wrong with the sound? Bad is not descriptive enough for us to troubleshoot the problem.

Infinity speakers are all 4ohm, so that should be fine.

I don't know if the reference come with external crossovers (might only be the kappas), but you might want to make sure that you hooked that up properly if they do.

Which Alpine HU did you get? Unless it is a really high end one, i don't think it would have any built-in crossovers (they've really skimped on advanced features with this year's models).

that's the floor in both your stereo or your amp. in case you bypass to a vehicle stereo save they're going to attempt to promote you a noise reducer, although that's wasted funds. in basic terms discover the black twine on your stereo amp or in spite of else you've operating and make positive it truly is creating an outstanding connection with metallic on the vehicle. the purely different risk is crappy rca cables, even though it truly is maximum in all probability the floor. in case your battery is getting more desirable than 12volts at the same time as the vehicle is off, that's no longer the alternator. If the battery reads below 12.a million that's the alternator.

if ur turning it up too high the head unit will distort b/c it doesn't have enough power. There is no way they can put 200 watts into a unit that size so all u really get is more like 20 watts and that isn't enough to power most speakers

Check factory speaker "impedance". Do they match what is called for in the Alpine manual? Impedance mismatch can fry your amplifier "outputs". Please be careful about "loading" of amplifier output transistors..:-)=

Try adjusting the settings on the stereo itself.
