I agree with most of the answers previously listed. My son had to be admitted to the hospital with congestive heart failure at six months. It was a very scary time, not knowing the prognosis.

However, I think the greatest fear is one that women don't think about until the situation is imminent and they can't do anything about it--being in labor and giving birth. We hear horror stories from well-meaning friends and relatives. We see the videos of childbirth, but we never know how we'll react to the pain. By the time labor starts it's too late to change your mind about having the baby. No matter how supportive the spouse is, he can't begin to comprehend what his wife is going through. He may stand next to her, holding her hand, but she may still feel like she's all alone.

The thought of something bad happening to either of my children actually keeps me awake many nights. Just the thought causes pangs of pain in my heart.Any loving mother will tell you that they would endure any amount of pain and suffering to save their children. That movie "The Good Son" haunts me.The mother in the movie had to choose whether to save her evil son or good nephew. I also fear that one day I may have to choose. How does a mother choose between 2 children that she absolutely loves and adores?I just pray that my fears never come true. I would give my own life to avoid that ever happening.

It would be spiders, bugs, lizards and other dangerous animals like snakes.
They could also be afraid to be left out by the crowd. E.g. there is a sale going on and no one informs her of it or not asking her along. Women also don't like to be embarrassed or ashamed.

I agree with Willow-my biggest fear is that I will see my daughter die. It makes me sick in my stomach to think about her getting sick of something that I can't make better.
