How should I recruit new members for our babysitting co-op?

I need some ideas. Our babysitting co-op has dwindled to two members. We've advertized on some local web sites and hung flyers around town. Any other ideas?

See if your local library has events for young kids, like storytime or crafts. The mothers take their kids there so you can meet a lot of them that way. You could make a flyer just so they have something in their hand with your number on it. A lot of people might feel leery of handing their kids over to strangers or having to take care of strange kids. If they actually see you and talk to you they may feel better about it.

Stay at home moms would be interested in saving some money. Working moms probably would rather just pay someone, because they'll be tired by the time they get home, and they have a little more cash.
When my kids were young we were in 2 co-ops, one at church and one at the college my husband went to. You felt like you had something in common with the people, and that they would take care of your kids ok.

I guess the only thing worse than having random people take care of your kids would be to have a random teenage girl do it. (come to think of it, people are desperate enough for that!)
