I actually did this not too long ago. We don't have steak a lot in our home but my husband loves steak. So, I prepared a huge steak for him. I also made a baked potato. For an appetizer I made crab stuff cherry tomatos. I then I served a salad that was mixed with greens, fruit and nuts. It was such a good salad. Then we had the steak, potatos and vegetable. For dessert I had made chocolate covered strawberries. Those were served with vanilla ice cream with fresh strawberry sauce drizzled over the top. My husband LOVED this meal.
But most people will tell you that pasta is romantic. I agree. But sometimes the best thing is to go with something you know your man loves.

aw cmon, why do women always think that other women can answer a question about a man better than A MAN!!!
What I would like is either something that I can participate in, like something flambe or requires assembly at table, like fondue
and for desert, chocolate syrup and strawberries and whip cream and well you can figure out the rest
