Here are a few senteces...see if they make sense.

1.)Tnstead of walking straight from the farmhouse to the rodad, we set off in an OBLIQUE direction across the field.

2.)Although she tried to cover it up with lively BANTER, i could see that her fefeling had been deeply hurt.

3.)We desperetly needed every bit of help we could find, but what we got was a WANTON of advice and a scarcity of cold cash.

1. Spelling of INSTEAD and ROAD is incorrect otherwise - the direction of OBLIQUE means in a direction that is not straightforward, so, yes, it does make sense.
2. Spelling of FEELINGS and the capitalization of "i" is incorrect otherwise the sentence makes sense.
3. Spelling of SCARCITY is incorrect however rather than using WANTON the word PLETHORA would be more correct.

The first word is okay, but somewhat awkwardly applied.

The second word is used perfectly.

The third is incorrectly used. You could say: We desparately needed help, but all we got was WANTON advice to steal what we needed. He accused me of WANTON cruelty, so I proved him right by hitting him. The way he WANTONLY talked trash about his boss, it seemed like he was trying to get fired.

Number 2 would have made sense had you spelled the words correctly.
