I took a double major (English Literature & World History) from the University of the State of New York when I was about 40 (It's never too late!). I've been teaching English in Japan (mostly at junior high school) for about 20 years. Don't really "use" either degree, but I remain very interested in both. More recently I've become interested in science (physics and evolutionary theory) as well, but I don't have a science degree. I do teach earth science in a high school in Osaka now.

I have an MA in English and an MA in history, and I teach both in a community college. I like teaching history more than English.
