Would u be at a disadvantage & in what way.

Well, letter carriers do a lot of standing while sorting. Then they do a lot of walking while delivering. If you can do those things without problems you should be fine. There are things you can do for flat feet to avoid pain and problems, and most are non-surgical. Check out this website for some tips:

i think it might be kind of pain full by the end of the day, all that walking is going to bring lots of hurt to them feet, depends on the shoes you wear, it might help a little, and maybe soaking your feet at night, but other wise i really belive your feet will pay a price for pain,to bad you didnt take care of it when you were little with sep. shoes.

I don't think it would be an advantage nor a disadvantage as long as you wear arch supports. But in one way it could be a advantage, cause you wouldn't be putting strain on your archs if flat footed.

yes it's ok just wear archg supports from the good feet store

You should be ok as long as your feet are size 10.5 or smaller.

i have flat feet and i work in a retail which basically im standing up and walking around in cirlces at work....and its not cool!

However, you can buy those in-soles at any drug stores.
