The commercial ones use PVC glue, but for something healthier try eggwhites.

Keep in mind that seed is not as nutritious for parrots as you may think. Seed is high in fat with little nutrtion and really, parrots in the wild do not eat seed, they eat fruit.

But peanut butter will hold seed in place...ok for an occasional treat.

You may even want to try fruit cubes for your parrot. Place blueberries and pieces of other fruit in an ice cube tray, pour water in the tray, freeze and give one or two to your parrot to enjoy.

In response to the person who commented after me, let me amend my statement. The parrots DO NOT eat the type of seed that they sell in the store, which is millet. Yes, birds and parrots eat seed that is out in the wild in flowers, but NOT millet. There is little nutrional value in millet. And sunflower and safflower seeds are extremely high in fat, so limit the bird's consumption of those seeds.

However, those same parrots also rely on other food sources, such as fruits, flowers and insects and not on seed alone.
