$100, she was really nice by far the best waitress I've ever had, and she ended up being my wife so I really spent $0. and in a diner in my town there is this old hag that works there and we stoped there to eat and she was just the meanest person. She comes out and says So what ya want? She took forever to make our food. We left 1 penny as a tip lol

i left a 5$ tip because waitress are paid a salarly if that,s what you want to call it ,and they pay mosltly is made through tips, it they are nice and try to do theri jobs they deserve tips if not then they should find something more to theri training..i speak on this because i,ve worked in alot of places, and i see the tips people leave, me myself i always worked behind the counter, but i have received tips and was very pleased that customers, noticed that i tried hards to please them and get theri orders correct, but we do have some people that think servers, are misfits, and talked mean and ugly, and don,t leave no tip, well, i just think what if my niece are sisters, have to live off what they make, or got paid, so i put myself in the servers, place

When my husband and I traveled on our honeymoon we went to
Bahamas and stayed at an all inclusive resort. A friend of my husband's recommended this tipping strategy and I highly recommend it.

The first day you arrive, go to the bar, get your drinks and tip the bartender a very, very large tip. We gave him $50 USD and he first thought it was a mistake. We told him that this would cover us for the week. He was very thankful.

Then anytime we approached the bar - he'd see us walking from the pool - even with a large line up, he poured our drinks and served them over people who were ahead of us. Sometime's he'd set us up with 2 each to save us having to returning.

He also filled us 2 Liter jugs of bahama mama's (free) and gave them to us when the bar closed at 2AM. We took the jugs back to our room for late night party. He also got us free magnums of champagne.

So... the $50 may seem high on the front end; you'll get top notch service the entire stay. Plus if you were to tip out on every drink or every other drink, after 1 week, you may have spent more than $50 when you add it up.

$ 60.00
I had a burger and two beers at a bar and was talking with the bartender and she was telling me how she was recently divorced and how hard it was trying to go Christmas shopping for her son and being frustrated about not having enough money to get him some of the things he wanted. She was a hard worker and was working extra shifts to make ends meet.
I purposely waited until she walked to the other end of the bar and then I left the money for the check and the $60.00 with a napkin note that said "Merry Christmas to you and your son - have a great holiday"!

25% of the total bill.At that time it was rule to tip10%. I believe in tipping for good serves. That Waitress was great! She earned every penny, and if I had more money on me she would have gotten more!!!

probably $10 at a restaurant because it was a little more than %10 (yes i know 10% isn't really acceptable these days)
but at a bar i give the bartender my change each time i get a drink so i don't keep track. i've probably tipped a lot more at a bar.

$25.00 tip on a $20.00 meal. It was a high school aged kid around Christmas. He was very polite and provided good service. We figured he could use the extra cash to buy gifts.

I Left a 20.00 tip on a 80.00 bill..... i usually tip well... about 10% for average service, 2% for bad service, and 20% for good service. However, they do have to earn it.

I tipped 20.00 on a 45.00 bill. This guy that used to wait on my husband and I everytime we went to Chi Chi's was exceptional one night. He brought our kids their food 10 minutes before ours so we could have a hot meal instead of helping our kids eat theirs. Our drinks never were half empty before another was brought. He kept the salsa and chips coming ---He was incredible!!!!
