I was friends with benefits with my best guyfriend, now he's back in college (4 hours away). He's now called the last two nights when he would barely call when he was here. Funny thing is that we talk about everything and I can tell he's jelous that I'm finding others when he hasn't found a girl. So is that what it's about or is there something more?

You should stop sleeping with him. Things are getting too emotional if you're wondering about it. He's probably jealous or lonely. Or maybe he's going through some things and needed someone to chat with and he likes talking to you.

Best to protect your heart. If he ever moves back to town, and you both have feelings for each other, then make sure it's exclusive between you two so you don't have to wonder.

littleflower_57 is right. Stay away from the friends with benefits situations.

You are now going to hear from an older (but more experienced) woman.

This friends with benefits thing that is now the latest thing is a big no-win situation. Both men and women do not understand that sex is not just a physical act....it is an emotional act. Whether you intend for it to be or not. It WILL get emotional if there is more than just one coupling with someone.

With that said. He may have fallen in love with you. Or he may just be lonely and is, indeed, envious that you are moving on and he has no one to move on with.

I have been many relationships (sadly) and have found that sex is absolutely nothing to play with. It can really backfire and hurt people when you treat it casually.

Sorry to be so straight forward....but it is the truth.

Most likely he is getting lonely. You know what they say, "you never know what you've got until it's gone." Well, since he's away from you and you have gotten over it and started meeting new people, it is quite possible that he is jealous. Maybe he likes you more than just "a friend with benefits".

Ask him. Be upfront. No beatin' around the bush. Find out where his thoughts are. And be civil about it. Don't get frustrated about his thoughts. Keep your mind together and know what you want. Oh yeah, and keep to your decisions.

Good luck and God Bless.

It may of always been on his mind, to call.

I'm sure he loves you very much, he was hurt like you, but sometime men tend to play dead to see if she really cares, does she truly love me, yes that jelous thing is there too. sometimes it takes time for a guy to realize how good a girl I had, why did I do this or that, why was I so stupid.

I think he's lonely at school and jealous that you're moving on. Are you sure he thought you were just "friends with benefits?"

I had this once - probably not "more", just a bit jealous. I think it's b/c you have a special bond with that person, like no other friend and they will ALWAYS be special!

Maybe he's having some trouble adjusting at college and needs to talk to someone who knows him and he's comfortable with. I wouldn't sweat it too much.

He probably just misses you and feels lonely cause he is away at school.

You're not psychic, apparently, and neither are we. You could be right. You could be wrong. Maybe you shouldn't tell him so much.

In the meantime, use this ancient African saying, "Give me patience - and give it to me NOW ! ! !

Good luck!

He is lonely and missing what he did not appreciate when he had the opportunity. Punish the bastard and enjoy it.
