No, I don't think going to church is spending time with God. Going to church is Fellowship with other Christians to worship God.
I spend a good bit of time each day, some more or less than others. I try to open the Bible at least once a day to read for a minimum of five to ten minutes.

He's with me all day; every day.
Sometimes when I start feeling negative and I realize that I don't have God with me; I've become distracted by our worldly "stuff". I will then try to let go of the negative feelings and focus on God... prayer helps with this.
For a few years, I wanted to find a church but wasn't really serious about it. Then in September 2005, we met a couple while on vacation and they invited us to their church. We went, it was nice, but seems competitive and I didn't feel comfortable. I "left things alone" and kept telling my husband that I felt the need to find a church; God wanted us to go, it was important.
Then early 2006, my neice and nephew were baptized and my husband and I became God parents. Funny how God works things for you. We attended their baptism at their church and then started attending regularly. It's great! God always pulls through!

My goal is to spend time with God daily. But that does not happen. No, going to Church on Sunday's is not enough. God does not want to be spoken to or thought of once a week. In order to have a personal relationship with him it is necessary to spend time with him more than once a week.

Personal goal:
To be able to honestly say that my every thought is a conversation with God.
Unfortunately, my daily schedule limits me to about 1/2 hour reading the Bible, an hour of audio Bible studies (radio or tapes), and between 2 and 3 hours of prayer / worship time throughout the day. I feel like I'm starving to death!

Yes, I try to read a passage from the Bible everyday. I start my work day with prayer. I also try to remember to follow the example of Daniel the prophet, who worshipped God morning, noon and night. But I wish that I had more time to spend just visiting with Him, and spending time in His Presence, because that is when the miracles happen!

I spend every waking hour praying in some way, shape or form. Daily contact with God isn't always in prayer but in good deeds, actions and just ordinary routine work as long as it is always offerd to God. Remember "All honor and glory are yours almighty Father"

I talk and pray to God everyday but I don't get into the word of God like I should and I can tell in my daily walk that is keeping me back from him.

The Need for Increased Faith
Luke 17:1-6
This passage gives a wonderful exchange between Jesus and His disciples. The Lord made two statements that completely shocked His disciples. In response, they offered only one exclamation: "Increase our faith!" (Luke 17:5) What were the two things that demanded a greater level of personal faithfulness?
First, Jesus warned them that hardships would surely come. In this life, there is no escape from the sorrows of the world. As new believers, many people are shocked to discover that faith in Christ does not eradicate all of the adversity in their lives. Jesus never guaranteed a trouble-free life; in fact, He promised just the opposite. (John 16:33) Committed Christians, therefore, are certain to experience heartaches and disappointments at various times.
Second, Jesus commands total willingness to forgive others: "If your brother . . . repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times a day, and returns to you seven times, saying, 'I repent,' forgive him" (Luke 17:3-4).
The "seven times a day" language is an illustration of persistent forgiveness. It is the model by which all believers should live their lives. Christ's forgiveness is limitless. As His followers, who are indwelt by His Spirit, we should strive for that same level of grace in our interactions with others.
Hearing these high ideals, the disciples could make no other comment than "Increase our faith!" They knew the Christian life was beyond their own power; therefore, they asked Jesus to empower them to meet His standard, each and everyday.
