I mean, you keep asking unbelievers about the meaning of our lives. Since we only differ in that we don't believe in God, does that mean that your lives have no other meaning than living for God? Don't other things give your lives a meaning, even if in to a lesser extent than religion?

"God" is my name for the creative process of the universe... so when I experience friendship or forgiveness, or think about the evolution of sentient creatures, that's all "God" meaning for me.

No, religion is not the only meaning to my life, but it is the driving force.

My faith encourages me to befriend people that I might never otherwise speak to. It gives me the ability to deal with situations I would otherwise not be able to handle. It gives me the power to handle challenges and difficulties in life.

More than anything, it is changing me for the better.. We have something called The Fruit of The Spirit. That is, the very nature of God being expressed in our personality through the transforming power of The Holy Spirit. This is:-

Love - the ability to love everyone, including those that hate and despise us.
Joy - A contentment in any situation. The ability to accept things no matter how bad they seem.
Peace - A calmness that overcomes anxiety and worry, even in the most dire circumstance
Goodness - Always acting in a positive manner, encouraging rather than judging
Kindness - Serving others, whether or not people think they deserve it
Faithfulness - Doing all that we agree to do, no matter what the personal cost
Patience - Putting up with a difficult situation without getting upset or angry
Gentleness - Being prepared to do the most dirty and menial jobs, to bear insult and injury without retaliation. To be immune to praise and adulation. To have a knowledge and awareness of our place in the scheme of things
Self-Control - Being able to ignore cravings and desires, overcome addictions and habits, go without needs and comforts of life for a higher goal

All these things help with what IS the meaning of my life, my family and friends. All these things taht I have listed help when you make and keep friends, they bring you closer together and allow you to befriend a wide range of people. Prejudice fits nowhere in the picture and, with that out of the way, friendships can be made with anyone.

Religion is very important, possibly second only to sport, as our Lord Jesus Christ taught whenever 3 or more meet up down the pub have a drink and a bite to eat in memory of him.
He didn't say go to Church did he.
Incidentally he had a bit part in "The Life of Brian" a Roman Era documentory.
Personally I believe in Jenson Button, yet my beleif was not true and I didn't have £50 on him at 100 to 1 when he finally won a race. One must have faith.

Bizzare and incredibly insulting question.... God is the centre of my life and i hope for other christians too.... we do all to glorify him, he has won our freedom our liberty, it is an honour and out of respect we do sport, work, live have family.
By being christian he admit we are not know it-alls and we need guidance, his wisdom, his love, its a contiuous work in progress.
What do you mean by, Don't other things give your life meaning....? Strange. We live because of God, he made us he is the source, the means by which we live ie. do what we do.

I live to realise who am I. That is the fore most meaning of my life. I have to know who I am before anything else. Does any religion teach people how to do this? i.e. to know oneself as opposed to believe on something? If no then what is the meaning of religion? LEARN TO SEARCH INWARD FOR WHO YOUR ARE.

What has meaning in your life is completely up to you.
Live... Love... Explore... Experience... Understand... Question... Contemplate... Grow... Fail... Evolve

I prefer to define what GOD is on my own... instead of blindly having faith in the preconceived notions of others.
