The only difference between a green card & a citizenship is "the right to vote".

The only difference between an illegal immigrants & a citizensihp is "illegals broke the law, have no right, and should be send back if get caught".

I'd say don't become a citizen just a legal resident.
You share the same benefits as a citizen except for voting.
Then you can tell all the arrogant pricks who live here that you are glad not to be a citizen!
Since the majority of americans don't know the difference between someone who's legally here or not.
FYI:
Most americans believe mexicans are the ONLY illegals living in the states.

Supposedly. . .

We are to have a free public education through the 12th grade; benefit of social security, Medicaid, welfare and any other public assistance provided by the government. We are supposed to be able to have all of the rights afforded to them in the Constitution. We have the right to elect our government officials by registering to vote, the right to obtain a drivers license, the ability to purchase and own property in this country, the right to pay taxes on our income and property owned to contribute to all of the programs and funding we have access to. . .

All of the things I listed (and more) should be the exclusive right to people either citizens of this country or here legally. I don't think that just because you are here in this country means that you should be afforded the same rights. If that is the case, then why in the hell would anyone go through the legal channels? I mean, if a person could get a car free and clear by stealing it - without criminal repercussions - why would one pay for it legally???

None! To be a citizen of the United States of America there are several benefits. But the U.S. is a totally different thing - it is corporate - they have sold the American people out - and the Federal Reserve has the control over the former government of the U.S.A.

The benifit is that when you are a citizen the government controls everything about you, Social, Money, Housing, Taxes, Etc. and if you dont comply, or agree with something...you wont get s*h*i*t....!!!!! and yes I was born in the U.S.....!

Truly I don't believe there are many benefits. The benefits usually go to the immigrants, esp. the illegals. I dont even know how to get welfare but they do and make a B-line to the welfare office first thing.

Americans have to work, work, work to get anything. Not so for some others. Nothing is handed to us.

Well a lot of things.

the right to vote is not really a benefit, you can vote in most countries so I wouldn't really count that BUT freedom of speech and all that stuff.

Plus you get to live here and work here and get all of the opportunities.
