I don't know...

The dosages in multivitamins are generally MUCH lower than what many people take as separate supplements. Doubling the dosage would not cause toxic levels.

I've heard that some things in multivitamins are not from natural sources though, and might actually cause health problems. I don't trust anything and generally consider moderation a good rule... LOL. I take one multivitamin a day. Sometimes not... to let my body "purge".

Vitamins won't make you gain weight. Protein, calories and exercise make you gain weight. Any weight gain without exercise will be fat. If you stop exercising, your muscle will become fat. Don't go overboard with weight gain unless you'll be training regularly. If you're so thin it's unhealthy... EAT SOMETHING PLEASE!!!... I worry...

I do if I am over stressed or overly tired only....I figure my body is needing the extra vitamins. Once in the morning and once at nite..............No side effects other than I am crazy (but I was that before). Then I go back to the regular dose. Long term probably would not be a good idea

If you want to gain weight get some protein powder and make you a fruit smoothy protein shake twice a day........Some protein powders have on the label how to use to gain weight

most multivitamins contain ingredients which are harmless and the human body merely releases what it does'nt use or cannot absorb. if your body has not been rejecting the ones u currently use then it probably would'nt change if you took 2. the thing is, it is pretty much a waste as these vitamins are designed to give you a daily dose of the things you may not be getting from your diet. you would just end up releasing more as the body only takes what it needs

Follow the directions. Some vitamins you can overdo and others your body expels. Now that I am "older" I really rely on my vitamins for energy even though I try to eat right, exercise and all that. I sometimes wonder if it's okay, too, buy my multivitamin directions say to take 2. Good luck.

No. Too much vitamin C can poison a fetus, too much iron can REALLY harden your stool (I heard that can be a painful experience) and you don't want to risk your health for the fun of it. Take your one-a-day vitamins ONCE a day as prescribed and recommended and start eating healthier. Don't play around or take chances with your health.

HOWEVER, the best way to gain some weight is to speak with your doctor and/or a dietitian. REALLY, I ain't kidding! They can really help you accomplsih that in a very healthy and sound manner.

Only use them as the directions tell you to use them, more multivitamins is not going to help your health, in fact too much of some vitamins can be dangerous.

Probably ok, depends on how muchof the fat soluable vitamins (A, E, D, and K) are in them. THOSE build up over time in your system and can cause problems.

The water solubles will just get peed out.

So, there is no need or reason to waste your money-they'll either build up and be harmful, or you will flush them. One a day is good (but hey the mega-vitamins look pretty when you pee).

Your body doesn't need all those extra vitamins, so it is just a waste of money to take 2 per day. You body only uses what it needs and flushes the rest out.

If the dosage is smaller, the directions may have you taking it twice a day. Follow the directions on the label and don't take more than it says to.

Twice per day is too much and is not supposed to be taken unless a doctor orders it. People can overdose on vitamins so be careful.
