Since I've been using a certain brand hair color, I've noticed hair loss. I've always had some hair loss since my hair is thick and long, but have noticed more since I've been using the product. Any hair color experts out there?

I am an expert, first of all is your hair loss from the scalp or does it break off!, If your hair with the root bulb, it could be a number of reasons from diet, stress, medication, thyroid, even hormone imbalances. If you have hair breakage, it could be over processing, like blow drying, coloring, bleaching, styling tools etc... my suggestion is to take a good vitamin and mineral suppliment, that should help with the hair bulb. also use a hair- reconstructor (not hair-conditioner),that should strenghten the hair shaft (medula and cortex) of the hair. Good Luck!

You may have an alergic reaction, but most likey you could be having some hair breakage. Over the counter hair color can be harmful. Consider the fact that this stuff is made for millions and not formulated just for your needs. See a professional colorist, and try a shampoo that has zero sulfates for color treated hair. You may have just over proccessed your hair. If you continue to use the brand be sure not to apply it to all of your hair, just apply it to your grow out and pull it through the ends just before you rinse.

im no expert but I do not think dyeing your hair does causes hair loss unless you do it exceedingly. it can be damaging but that can easily be treated with a good conditioner and proper care. If you feel the product you are using is breaking your hair off I would suggest using something else.

have you been LIGHTENING your hair? anytime you make your hair lighter, no matter what the brand, you are stripping the cuticle, which makes hair break very easily. your hair could just be breaking and falling off instead of actually falling OUT of your scalp... My advice, leave your hair alone for a while or go to a professional to get it died from now on...

Dying isn't considered a cause of hair loss. Perms are known to cause hair loss with frquent perms.

No, Its just a coincidence. Its probably something else like maybe a certain medication or vitamin that is doing it.
