I loved it because it showed people pretty much what Christ went through for us. (A few inconsistencies with scripture, but not too bad.) I hated it because it was painful for me to see what He went through so that I could have salvation. So I have a love/hate thing going on with this movie.

I love it & purchased a DVD. Also for others at Christmas and other gift giving times.
I believe it is a miracle that it was produced. The week of Easter it was the most watched show world wide.
I believe God showed His aproval when Jim Gaviezel got hit by lightening & didn't get hurt. Also, when He actually got hit by the whip, He had an understanding what it might have felt like. He didn't feel like saying, "Father forgive them, they know not what they are doing.".
Also, I believe the movie was inspired by God and was God's timing. Mel Gibson followed through on what He believed God told Him to do. He gets a crown (from God).

If you are referring to the film, it was a magnificent work of "art".
Mel Gibson is a true visionary. HOWEVER, I do not believe Jesus invented the table as we know it.....Nor do I believe that people would NOT have noticed a ashen white woman with a demon child....NOT in Holy Scripture.
As for the true PASSION of the Lord, well.......when you understand the true HELL Jesus went through for our sins, then you know how much He truly loves us.... click the link below to see the horrific instrument believed to be used to scourge Jesus
Go in Peace.

I like the movie because it shows some of what a crucifixion was like. I hate it because it shows the One I love suffering and in pain. It's not a popcorn and candy movie. I have it on dvd and rarely watch it now.

I know it was just a movie, but it sure made what our Lord Jesus Christ even more clear. What he went through for us, and he wasn't even a sinner.
We all belong on that cross, Jesus did nothing wrong and he the one that was nailed to it, for us...
Now that is Love.

Loved it. Deep, moving, and brutally honest. That's exactly how Roman Crucifixions were, and that's what the Lord went through for us. I think that movie can really open the eyes of those who don't really appreciate Christ's gift.
God bless!

I didn't see it. I could just read the Bible for free instead of paying a bunch of money to see a movie. I'd rather picture it in my head with my own interpretation rather than another person's who I don't agree with.
