My guy friend who I am crushing on wanted me to walk with him home and skip practice (Im in this physical fitness club at school to prepare you for the army) so I could watch him play football with the guys ( he also has a thing for me). I told him no and that I might meet up with him later. Well, practice was really really tiring ( we ran a few miles in the heat and I nearly passed out). Im a good friend, so even though I was beat after practice, I still went to go see him. All his buddies were there so he completely ignored me. He barely said a word to me and I was getting mad. I do not like being ignored-at all. So I just hung out with a few friends and we played pass. When I left, he didnt even say bye to me and now Im considering on whether I can handle being his girlfriend. Is it just a guy thing or is he being an azz? Im gonna talk to him tomorrow about it but calmly, I dont want to make it look like it was a big deal. He does this when hes around his guy friends and it bugs me

When he has a choice, he would rather impress his guy friends than you. It could be because after football practice, he is running high in the jock mode, self absorbed. Just let him know that you couldn't set in the stands looking pretty and mooning over him, you had a pretty good work out yourself. You followed up on your end of the deal to meet afterward and he feel short. If he can't make himself worth the effort, then you have better things to do.

yes, it is just a guy thing and yes, he is being an azz

however, young men his age can hardly help it

if you are not willing to overlook a little bit of azzness, then you will have to wait about 3 or 4 years for a boyfriend

when you talk to him about it calmly, he won't understand your real point, you won't understand how important it is to him to maintain a certain image with his friends

you ALSO don't know how many points he scored with his friends by having a cute girl come to watch him play

so, bottom line, let him be a boy (or an azz) now and then, but not too much, he is supposed to start growing up real soon, and some men never do, so expect some progress

thats how a lot of guys are..just play around with him the next day..be like "so did you have fun ignoringgg me yesterday?" and MAKE SUREEE you smile. so he knows that you're kinda serious/kinda kidding. (cuz u dont want to seem bitchy, when you're not even dating him) then see how it goes from there.
goodluck! hope things work out!

Always remember rule number one. Boys are stupid. It doesn't matter how old they are, they are stupid. The more they like you the dumber they become. I speak from experience. Knowing this will help. It's not an excuse but a simple fact. You may just have to call them on it but never forget ..... stupid.

He's such an ***. That's messed up. Think about it this way, if you were dating him, he'd probably do the same thing. And a guy who does that isn't worth liking.

A friendship is not someting that is just there when you need it, it's there all the time, I think that if you don't schedule time for your friends then what do you want friends for?
