Basically it starts like this, well I have this bestfriend and hes been my good friend for about 9 years and he has been going out with his girlfriend for about 5 years. I am good friends with both of them. I think I his girlfriend is very atttractive. Well I have been going out with her as friends for a long time like to grab something to eat, only as a friend. But my friend recently got locked up. He is going to be in there for about month and a half. Well I am falling for his still girlfriend. It's not like I intend to do so, It's just now we spend alot of time together just hanging out because we are friends, and my friend is locked up. I am really falling for her and it's hard to not think about it. If I could I would let it go right away. What to do?

Stop spending time with her. Feeling are not the most important thing in the world. Friendship last longer and are more important than crushes.

I think that if he's your best friend that would be pretty backstabbing if you were to go after his girl. Depending on the reason he's gotten locked up, maybe you should just let it go somehow. By this I mean, if he did something to hurt the girlfriend and wound up in jail, then they should break up. Even in this case, it'd be pretty hurtful to your best friend if you went after her. I think if you know she feels the same, or possibly feels the same, you should talk to her and let her know what's up. She would deserve the truth if you two are such good friends.

I think the best answer is a bunch of questions to think about.
You know your friend, will he get mad? will he ever talk to you again? are you falling for this girl just because you want to prove yourself that you are as good as your friend? I think that a friendship is more important than a romance, but, a well brought up child is more important than anything. If you think you can bring more love and care to the child than your friend can, go for it.

You have no coide but to do the best for your mate. Look after his chick and don't take advantage of his situation. On the other hand, if you think she's into you.... you shoudl discuss this with him first. Is it worth possibly losing both friends??? Maybe wait til he's back.

You have to choose who means more to you: your friend or his girlfriend. Good luck. It's a hard choice.
