I take care of 4 dogs (two are mine, one a friend's) one being my sister's. She plays with him....and feeds him sometimes. I groom him and all. Mind you he's an aussie with tons of fur. I pick up his poo which has been a real challenge since the garbage people are on strike. Do you think its fare that I have to keep up with him while she simply walks him (sometimes) and plays with him? Shes 24

if i stopped taking care of him...he would probably die. And anyone who owns a sheepdog knows what its like when you dont walk them. I get blamed for his chewing and all...

I think you both should talk about the situation at hand, explain to her how you feel and why........tell her you don't mind lending a hand here and there as a favor but that she needs to start taking responsiblity for her pet............a pet is like a child....is this the way she is going to treat her children when & if she has any? Maybe once you lay it out she will realize that she has been taking advantage of you and start being more reponsible.

no, i don't think it's fair at all. if she's going to have a dog, she needs to take responsibility for its' care - including the grooming, vet bills, and poop-scooping. she should either hand the dog over to you for full custody (meaning she has to ask you every time she wants to walk or play with the dog), or she should give it up for adoption. there are plenty of loving families who i'm sure would love such a great dog.

I'm going to basically repeat what the people above me have said:
STOP TAKING CARE OF IT.
Seriously, just tell her to stop acting like a child and that she has to take responsibility. Maybe you guys could both own the dog or something (like spilt the ownership)?
If you spilt the ownership, you can spilt the job =)

It seems like your sister is not very responsible for her pet I would say it's more your pet then hers she wants all the fun part but not the hard times it's kinda like a parent who refuses to discipline her child she just wants to have the fun and let daddy be the Meany. no it's not fair but unless you want to get rid of the dog, keep on trucking.lol

If it's her dog, then let her take care of it. Simply stop doing all the work.

no. you have to tell her (if you mind taking care of the dog) that it's her responsiblity. You can also say that you don't mind doing it occasionally but this has gotten to an extreme.

Probably not, but considering she does, I suggest charging for you services. She may be you sister, but you sure arent related to the dog.

I think that she should take care of HER dog not u. Unless u want to adopt it. Then u can call it yours.

dad makes the regulations.. doesnt count number in case you imagine they are straightforward or unfair.. the international isnt straightforward. the canine wouldnt have chewed the charger if it became positioned away.. so who's to blame on that?
